This is it. This is our „Drive to Survive“, this F1 show on Netflix which brought Millions of Fans to Formula 1. Esports World Cup: Level Up could be the moment, where esports goes mainstream on Amazone Prime Video and gets the spot in the world it deserves as one of the biggest pop cultural movements.

Doing such a show requires balls, because it’s a tough call - you are allowing an inside look into the engine room of a high-stakes world class sports environment, where things can get very hectic and stressful. And into the drama and pressure environment that is the world of esports.

„No big deal, there are just thousands of fans relying on you to make split second decisions with Millions of Dollars on the line“ says the host and that’s the same for both worlds - Formula 1 and a esports.Esports World Cup Show on Amazon Prime

A giant move for gaming & esports culture

Telling you right now: Millions of parents will watch this show with their kids trying to understand their passions for gaming and esports. And they’ll see their own kids into these athletes that are roughly the same age going through this journey of wins and losses.

There is this weird thing about building your career where you have to go through a bunch of losses to create the biggest wins in your life and this show really hits this home the in a best-in class sports storytelling way.

The Drive to Survive way, which I love.

Drive to Survive hit the world by storm, because it’s the most authentic sports show the world has ever seen. It’s wild.

Drive to Survive was very hard to pull off for Netflix and Formula 1 - it was difficult to convince teams to produce this show, because it required all-access in a completely unprecedented way. You literally see Toto Wolff shouting at Lewis Hamilton and Red Bulls Christian Horner loosing it.

Those are the segments, that you would normally cut in a curated show. But those were the clips that have gone viral and turned Drive to Survive into this giant driver to hit the US market in a big way.

Team Falcons Grant Rousseau is the Christian Horner of of the Esports World Cup Show on Amazon Prime

Red Bulls Team Principal Christian Horner has been carrying a lot of F1s Drive to Survive - he is this larger than life sports executive that is pushing the teams through all the crazy ups and downs of motorsports. And Grant Rousseau, Global Director of Esports and Operations at our friends at Team Falcons essentially has become the Christian Horner of esports.

Not only has signed Falcons with Red Bull as partner, Grant also had to build a huge amount of rosters in all the Esports World Cup tournaments and turn them into an unstoppable force. The Prime Amazon Show shows is lovely family and how proud they are about their superstar executive son. Falcons has turned a lot of streamers into superstars - Soka made Esports World Cup history by winning Call of Duty Warzone .

Emmy Award Winner RJ Cuttler and his incredibly talented team at The Machine Filmworks have dedicated an entire episode towards those Team Falcons superstars and show the entire journey - all the ups and downs, the crazy behind-the-scenes - the adrenaline, the action, the nervousness in the face of athletes and executives when Millions of Dollars are on the line.

Nothing is Granted. Everything is Earned. This is Esports World Cup. I’ve watched esports grow from our basement LANs to packed stadiums — but Amazon Primes Level Up reminded me what it’s really about: the people, the passion, the why.
